I've been trying to build the Balloon software this morning and have 
come across a problem with buildroot. It wants to download some files 
from snapshot.debian.net. That site is currently not accepting 
connections, so buildroot hangs on more or less forever trying to access it.

I worked around the problem by hand-hacking the file
build/buildroot/buildroot-2010.11/package/fakeroot/fakeroot.mk

and changing the variable FAKEROOT_SITE to point to
http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20080427T000000Z/pool/main/f/fakeroot/

It all seems to work then. I have no idea whether this is a Debian 
problem, a buildroot problem, or something we can fix.
