Where, in the menuconfig2 build magic, is the root password set for the 
emdebian root filesystem? The one I've just built didn't have the usual 
root password. chrooting into /mnt/root from the recovery kernel and 
doing 'passwd root' fixed the problem, but it would be helpful to be 
able to get this right when the root fs is built, especially in a 
production environment.

I had a quick rummage around in packages/kernel but couldn't find 
anything relevant-looking.
