Thank you Wookey, this all sounds like a marvellous idea. Looking at
bbl, I can't see where it uses telnet - it seems to issue shell commands
wholly over the serial port. That's fine with me.

I was looking forward to trying out the netcat technique, but have been
thwarted. Again.

The default buildroot setup in menuconfig2 doesn't appear to include netcat.

Should it? How might I go about fixing it?
